Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern enrolment in Ostwin Moreau programmes and use of our website. Please read them carefully before registering.

Last updated: March 2025

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") apply to all visitors of the Ostwin Moreau website at ostwinmons and to all participants in educational programmes offered by Ostwin Moreau ("the Practice"), with its principal place of business at 12 Jalan Ampang Hilir, 55000 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

By browsing our website or registering for a programme, you indicate that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please refrain from using our services.

2. Nature of Services

Ostwin Moreau offers financial education delivered through structured group conversations and facilitated dialogue. Our programmes are educational in nature and are not financial advice, investment advice, or regulated financial services.

Nothing communicated during our programmes — whether by the facilitator, invited practitioners, or other participants — constitutes a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any financial product or asset. Participants are encouraged to seek licensed financial advisers for personal financial decisions.

3. Programme Enrolment

Enrolment in a programme is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment and a written confirmation from Ostwin Moreau. All programmes are subject to minimum and maximum participant numbers. The Practice reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a programme if the minimum enrolment threshold is not met, in which case participants will receive a full refund.

Places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis following receipt of payment. Expressions of interest without payment do not constitute a reservation.

4. Fees and Payment

Programme fees are as published on the Ostwin Moreau website at the time of registration, stated in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR). Fees are inclusive of all programme materials, session access, and any items specified in the programme description.

  • Conversations on Daily Finances — MYR 580
  • Tea Table Investing Dialogues — MYR 1,760
  • Long Conversations on Lifetime Planning — MYR 3,260

The Practice reserves the right to adjust programme fees for future intake cycles. Any adjustment will not affect confirmed enrolments for which payment has already been received.

5. Cancellation and Refunds

The following cancellation terms apply to participant-initiated withdrawals:

  • More than 14 days before the programme start date — a full refund less an administrative fee of MYR 100 will be issued.
  • 7 to 14 days before the programme start date — a 50% refund of the programme fee will be issued.
  • Fewer than 7 days before the programme start date — no refund is available. Participants may transfer their place to another person by notifying us in writing at least 3 days in advance.

In the event that a programme session is cancelled or substantially altered by Ostwin Moreau, affected participants will be offered the choice of a rescheduled placement or a pro-rated refund for sessions that could not be delivered.

6. Participant Conduct

Our programmes rely on a respectful, open atmosphere in which all participants feel comfortable sharing their perspectives. Participants are expected to:

  • Treat fellow participants and the facilitator with courtesy and consideration.
  • Keep shared personal or financial disclosures made by other participants confidential.
  • Refrain from recording sessions without the prior written consent of Ostwin Moreau and all other participants.
  • Attend sessions punctually and complete any preparatory reading or exercises in advance.

Ostwin Moreau reserves the right to remove a participant from a programme without refund if their conduct materially disrupts the learning environment or breaches these Terms.

7. Intellectual Property

All programme materials, conversation guides, reflection journals, and written content provided by Ostwin Moreau are the intellectual property of the Practice. Participants may use these materials for their own personal reference and learning but may not reproduce, redistribute, or publish them in any form without prior written consent.

The content of our website, including text, design elements, and imagery, is similarly protected. Unauthorised reproduction is not permitted.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by Malaysian law, Ostwin Moreau shall not be liable for any financial decisions made by participants as a result of, or in reliance upon, content discussed in our programmes or published on our website. Our programmes are educational resources; investment and financial decisions remain the responsibility of the individual.

Our liability for any claim arising from a programme shall not exceed the fee paid by the affected participant for the programme in question.

9. Privacy

Personal information collected in connection with programme registration is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (Malaysia). By registering, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising in connection with these Terms or programme participation shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.

11. Amendments

Ostwin Moreau may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time of your enrolment will apply to your programme. We recommend reviewing the Terms periodically.
